Littelfuse offers their 242 series of fuses for barrier circuits in extremely hazardous locations. With current ratings ranging from 40 milliamps to 250 milliamps, this series provides overcurrent protection solutions to fit many hazardous location barrier applications. The fuses are built to very high safety standards to contain any arcing in areas with dangerous concentrations of flammable gases or dust found in applications such as petrochemical refineries and mines. Other features include axial lead and surface mount configurations, being color coded for ease of identification, and having an operating temperature range from minus 40 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius. Ideal applications include barriers providing intrinsically safe outputs to hazardous locations, test equipment, electrical connections and components, and more.
