Designed to meet stringent customer demands for mechanical, electrical, and environmental performance, Molex offers their MXMag single-port RJ45 connectors. Traditionally, in order to ensure a robust and reliable through-hole PCB connection, RJ45 connectors with integrated magnetics have required hand placement for wave soldering operations. However, Molex's MXMag RJ45 connectors have been designed specifically for automated assembly processes, which results in an increase to manufacturing output, and a reduction in manufacturing costs. Ideal applications for these MXMag RJ45 connectors include consumer—such as IoT, point of sales terminals, and set-top boxes; industrial applications, like motor controls, network interfaces, and PLC controllers; and telecommunication and networking equipment, including printers, servers, access points, and switches.
