The Würth Elektronik WE-TORPFC Flat Wire PFC Inductors series features flat wire windings to provide superior performance. The toroidal inductors are suitable for continuous-conduction mode boost converters and can produce up to several kW of power. Unlike traditional bobbin-wound power factor correction inductors, this series uses flat wire windings, resulting in lower winding losses and better cooling. With high saturation current with soft saturation features, the inductors feature an operating temperature from -40 to 155 degrees celsius. The PFC inductors offered have inductances from 118 to 720 microhenries and a voltage rating of 1000 volts. Suitable applications include fix chargers on streets and garages, solar inverters, as well as telecom server and industrial power supply units.
