The first application discussed here is an automation control panel. As shown here, this application takes advantage of integrated USB and Ethernet with USB OTG making it possible to update firmware and transfer data through a USB memory stick. Additionally, a COG controller can be connected through the SPI or Mini-FlexBus while the GPIO can be used to interface a keyboard and drive LEDs. Finally, the NXP MQX RTOS provides seamless support to the MCF5225x with Ethernet, USB, and graphic libraries to help develop the application quickly and easily.
