Within the unlicensed part 15 frequency allocations, these are the most suited to NXP’s RF ICs. There are multiple applications NXP currently has design wins in within these frequency bands. These applications are usually relatively low volume and application specific. Applications for receivers also exist for fish depth finders at IF frequencies from 50kHz to 500kHz. These applications utilize the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) function of the ICs.
