The complete STM32 family allows a system developer to use a single MCU architecture for a broad range of products. Here we see an example of a range of portable medical appliances using the STM32 family. The 32 KB Access Line provides an ideal replacement for a 16-bit MCU in a simple device. The STM32 Performance Line with 128 KB of Flash can be used in a mid-range device with USB connectivity. At the high end the 512 KB STM32 provides the performance, memory and device interfaces with a sophisticated user interface with menus and multinational fonts.
