The second job of an ambient light sensor is to match the human eye’s relative sensitivity which peaks at around 560 nm. Vishay’s ambient light sensors do a very good job with peak wavelength sensitivity of between 540 nm and 570 nm. The light current output shown in this table will be used in the next slide to determine the ratio of incandescent to fluorescent light.
