Coto Technology's RedRock RR112 series of analog, tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR), low-power magnetic switch sensors are ideally suited for the demands of next generation security, metering, medical, automotive, instrumentation, and industrial markets. Due to their ultra-low power (essential in battery-powered applications), high sensitivity, miniature size, robustness, and availability, the TMR sensors are a popular alternative to Hall effect sensors and reed switches.

Based on patented TMR technology with seamless CMOS integration, the RedRock RR112 series incorporates analog magnetic sensors with proportional linear voltage output that is ideal for use in medical, industrial, automotive, and consumer applications. The RR112 series offers multiple configurations of several parameters to enable applications such as proximity sensing, rotary sensing, and level detection.

The RR112 series encompasses the RR112-1D9x and the RR112-1G4x, offering flexibility around magnetic sensitivity, magnetic range, sensing frequency, and power consumption.

All RR112 sensors operate with a wide supply voltage range of 1.7 V up to 5.5 V, ideal for applications ranging from small battery-powered electronics to industrial machinery. Target applications include proximity detection, rotary sensing, fluid level detection, door, window, or lid open-close detection, water and gas meters, portable medical devices, consumer electronics, and IoT devices.
