Renesas' easy-to-start (ETS) RL78/F1x series is a range of 16-bit MCU devices designed for various automotive applications and well-suited for general-purpose industrial, consumer, and motor control systems. The MCUs are available in 20-pin to 144-pin options, offer 16 kB to 512 kB Flash memory lineup, and realize a low level of consumption current. They have a built-in CAN module and LIN module for automotive interfaces and functional safety features, as well as RAM ECC and PLL lock functions, port output state monitoring, stack overflow detection, and dedicated WDT oscillator. Design resources are available to help get designs to market as quickly as possible.
