Remote Management System for Effortless Device Management

The Teltonika remote management system (RMS) is a cloud-based platform designed to provide centralized and secure management of IoT products. It enables remote monitoring, configuration, firmware updates, and health tracking of Teltonika routers, gateways, access points, and even third-party devices, all without requiring public IPs on the managed units. Communication between RMS and devices is encrypted using TLS-protected MQTT, with the backend hosted on AWS to ensure robust security and reliability.

RMS is organized into four modular services that users can enable independently. RMS management handles inventory, health monitoring, group-based configuration, scheduled tasks (including firmware rollouts), alerts, automation routines, reporting, Wi‑Fi^® and hotspot management, and GNSS-based tracking. RMS Connect facilitates secure remote access to devices behind the router via HTTP(S), SSH, RDP, or VNC. RMS VPN allows cloud-hosted VPN hubs to add Teltonika devices, PCs and other endpoints to those hubs. RMS API offers programmatic access to manage IoT ecosystem, enabling integration with in-house or third-party platforms for enhanced automation and data workflows.

The platform supports a wide range of Teltonika devices from the RUT and TRB series. Using RMS, administrators can group devices, assign tags, import via CSV, visualize deployments on a network map, monitor signal strength, uptime, firmware versions, and more — all from a unified dashboard.

RMS licensing is flexible, based on credits, packages, and data allocations. Management credits grant 30-day access per device, while packages are available for durations ranging from 6 months to 10 years. Additionally, data packages offer VPN/connect bandwidth (e.g., 150 GB over 10 years). The release of RMS 5.0 introduces key advancements: unlimited sensor data collection, real-time device and third-party management, and a unified IoT and remote management interface.
