WE-LT Conductive Shielding Gaskets
Würth Elektronik offers its WE-LT series conductive shielding gaskets with a square profile for excellent contact
Würth Elektronik's WE-LT series gaskets are lightweight products with excellent shielding properties and surface conductivity. The WE-LT series was developed to solve diverse EMI/RFI situations and to meet shielding requirements. All standard profiles are self-adhesive and have a removable protective cover tape. Non-conductive adhesive tape is used as our standard. Upon request, Würth Elektronik’s WE-LT are also available in conductive tape. When using the WE-LT products, the area to be covered should be smooth and free of grease. If a customer has a specific length(s), stamped out patterns and/or wants to use a different material (such as aluminum) Würth Elektronik’s can review upon request.
Characteristics
- Conductive fabrics with Ni/Cu layer. A PU sponge core (elastomer) covered with electro conductive fabric
- Square profile offers a large bearing surface and therefore excellent contact
- Centered, double-sided adhesive tape (non-conductive) for easy mounting
- Available in adhesive tape (conductive)
- Shielding effectiveness up to 80 dB at 100 MHz
- Flammability class: UL94 V-0
- Operating temperature: -40°C to 85°C
Applications
- Depending on the application an IP54 protection class could be reached; that means by the use of the shielding gasket, a protection against dust (index 5), and protection against splashed water (index 4) could be offered
