Rohm has a Wide Frame assembly process that increases the reliability, traceability, and production efficiency of Rohm’s existing diode portfolio. Conventional method uses a Hoop Frame assembly process. This table shown here summarizes the key differences between the two production methods for SOD-123 package, known as PMDU for Rohm. The lead finish uses electro plating with 100% Tin. The part marking will increase to 30 dots and will be completely Halogen Free. The following slides will discuss these differences in detail.
