Comparing the life expectancy of the DR MagLev motor design with other bearing systems, the life expectancy of the Precise VAPO bearing, performs similar to the 2 ball bearing version and therefore meets the requirements for continuous fan operation. As shown in this table, starting at the bottom, the life expectancy of a sleeve bearing is 35,000 hours at 40°C, while for the DR MagLev Vapo it is 60,000 hours at 40°C. In continuous operation, the life expectancy of both the DR MagLev Precise VAPO and a 2 ball bearing fan are 70,000 hours at 40°C.
