Digital isolators transfer signals across an isolation barrier. This is achieved by using a modulator to transmit high-frequency signals through the barrier. The receiver demodulates the high-frequency signal into an output signal mimicking the input signal. There is always a delay between the input signal arriving to the input channel and the output signal leaving the output channel.
