TE Connectivity is a global designer and manufacturer of sensors and sensor-based systems which measure pressure/force, position, vibration, temperature, humidity, and fluid properties. TE Connectivity’ products are used as embedded devices by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) or as stand alone sensors for test and measurement to provide critical monitoring, feedback and control input. The KMA36 is a universal position and rotary encoder using contactless magneto-resistive (M-R) technology. It has several selectable output modes with rotary 360°/180° absolute or incremental modes. The linear incremental mode uses a special magnetic strip with 5 mm pole spacing. This sensor features programmable resolution to thirteen bits and a hardware configurable I2C address.
