When designing in a Mill-Max receptacle, it is ideal to select a Mill-Max contact with a mid-range near the mating pin diameter. Always design the Mill-Max pin and pin receptacle to engage and disengage concentric with each other to avoid misalignment. Mill-Max receptacles are also designed to mate with components with square and rectangular leads. For these types of applications, simply convert the square into a diameter by means of the Pythagorean theorem to ensure the pin falls within the receptacle's acceptance range.
