With the ongoing pursuit to reduce design packages and size, Mill-Max has introduced a line of zero profile receptacles. This line of precision machined receptacles includes a hexagonal shaped shoulder which is pressed into a PCB plated through hole until flush with the top surface of the board. With a properly specified plated through hole, this press-fit retention also eliminates a soldering operation, reducing setup time and overall cost.
